The New Zealand massacre in Christchurch justifies the Chinese regime's mass surveillance of Muslims. At least according to the local government of Xinjiang, where China has detained more than a million Uighur Muslims in internment camps where they face torture, monitored their every movement with a mass surveillance network using AI facial recognition technology, and even collects their blood and DNA samples. It was a response to critical reporting in the Wall Street Journal.
