Witness for Peace Celebrates 22 years of pro-Palestine Protests: September 13 marked the anniversary of our first peaceful vigil. Twenty-two years ago we were refused entry to Beth Israel Congregation to present our findings from a recently completed tour of Palestine. We agreed Rabbi Rob Dobrusin had the right to exclude us from access to his people, as we had the right to take to the public sphere to deliver our message. The rest is the longest-running weekly street protest in Ann Arbor history. Attacked by Joan Lowenstein’s son. Noah Trobe, son of two powerful members of Ann Arbor’s Jewish community (Joan Lowenstein and Jonathan Trobe) attacked our property on June 28. When we confronted him, he then began to attack us. Cops were called, police report made (#25-31423), detective identified, and the case has been turned over to the Prosecutors Office, where it has sat to date. Noah returned to taunt us on August 16 and informed Chris that the case has been dropped. Did Mommy step in to save her boy from Jewish prosecutor Eli Savit? We don’t know.
