Tesla technologies can revolutionise communications as we know them today. I will demonstrate one example where it outperforms standard electromagnetic or transverse wave propagation.

This simple demonstration uses the near field and a standard radio receiver. In the far field the radio can not be used anymore and a more complex configuration is required. Note that it is not transverse communication and requires a different mindset to build.
Other references are the ARRL handbook for radio engineers and Charles Steinmetz. Wave propagation in a transmission line.
