My Mother told me that they had seriously wondered back then what had motivated him not to attack England and to keep them at bay when they could have done so. I think at that Point the German Folk and also a good amount of the Generals and other Leaders in the higher Echelon lost their Trust into Hitler.
Was Hitler really such romantic to believe that the two Nations would come together those days under English Leadership? Would that not have happened much easier when the Germans would just have seized England as they could do that with Ease those days? Instead we got firebombed- 60 German Towns and its Citizens- with impunity?
