"The turning point for Irena comes early in the film. From a window, she sees a Nazi soldier rip an infant out of its mother’s arms, throw the child to the ground and then shoot the mother in the head. Her secret sheltering of the Jewish workers is imperiled when Major Rugemer discovers her plot and gives Irena a sickening choice: “Take me as your lover, or I will send your Jewish friends to the gas chambers." (Spurious, titillating NONSENSE).

The whole problem is in the 1960s the Catholic Church and by extension also the European protestants (Lutherans, evangelicals, etc.) was blamed for the holocaust and the rise of the nazis by the Jews. Weak people in the Church who were part of the allies, accepted the wartime propaganda and capitulated into accepting the holocaust narrative. So now everything is spun to work within that worldview, but it's destroying christianity and the west. Most of the Catholics writing these stories don't even know they are helping to perpetuate a lie, because affirming the holocaust lie, people will listen to them and they get views. Reading both that article and her biography, it's not about Catholicism, but she is a Pole and the Poles were like Jews, having a huge paranoia, with a culture of hating Germans and seeing Germans as sub-human as well as the Russians. They made up their own atrocity stories even before WW2 about them to help fight for independence. The French and Americans funded and trained the Poles for independence, so they would naturally go along with promoting Polish lies. CR
Jim’s note to EMJ - As with the lies about Father Lenz, we have an upcoming movie that is spreading the lies this time with Catholic Irena in IRENA’S VOW. I'm sure she will be up for "sainthood" soon. The ending of this article explains what Irena was involved in. Michael, you might want to start telling people what was really going on with Catholics who were in the camps and why. Any Catholics harboring Jews were most likely protecting the partisans, as this story explains. On a side note, because of your Father Lenz nonsense, you have alienated yourself from many truth tellers out there. You're a big hit with the Catholics though, who want to believe the Holocaust lies. You seem to want to play both sides promoting Jewish and Catholic lies. The Jews seem to like what you're doing - THAT should cause you concern.
