Almost 15 years ago, journalist and filmmaker Avi Lewis visited Gaza.

There, he had a chilling encounter with the Israeli military and its violent colonial outlook—a “logic that leads to genocide.”

This speech was first delivered at the Parkland Conference on November 17, 2023.
