IDF intensified ground operations in Gaza as the war between Israel and Hamas entered day 31. Israeli forces continued to pound major Hamas’ hideouts, including the Gaza metro tunnels, and destroy them. Amid the conflict, Israeli Minister Amihay Eliyahu’s nuclear comments sparked furore. Asked in a radio interview about a hypothetical nuclear option, Eliyahu replied: "That's one way". After outrage, PM Netanyahu suspended the concerned minister from cabinet meetings "until further notice". Amid Nuclear threat, US made a shocking move by deploying a nuclear submarine in the Middle East region. US Central Command said an Ohio-class submarine has arrived in the region of eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea, Persian Gulf. Ohio-class submarines are both nuclear-powered and carry nuclear warheads. The arrival of Subs can be seen as a strategy to deter Iran and its proxies from attacking Israel.
