What IS a normie/NPC?

Here are some traits of a normie/NPC that I've gathered:

1. Lack of creative drive/imagination
2. Lack of inner monologue/visualization
3. Lack of curiosity about the world (doesn't ask "why?")
4. Punishes pattern recognition
5. Takes things at face value, doesn't read between the lines
6. Passive aggressiveness towards player characters
7. Collectivism == morality
8. Attacks in numbers, hides in the crowd, but acts like a victim when singled out
9. Virtue signalling, puts themselves on a moral high horse to shame player characters with ease
10. Fakes empathy and concern for player characters, gaslighting is disguised as care and concern for the wellbeing of player characters
11. Acts like a victim when passive aggressiveness is called out
12. Uses the ad hominem frequently to shame people into silence
13. Punishes uniqueness and self-expression
14. Punishes the inner child
15. Denies your personal experience of reality, pushes the official narrative instead
16. Toxic positivity, negative emotion and genuine grievances are punished as weakness
17. Third-party thinking, decision-making and critical thinking are outsourced to authority
18. Excessive mocking and shaming behavior
19. Lacks the ability to "stay in their lane", living peanut galleries, "live and let live" is not a part of the NPCs vocabulary
20. The NPC tries to talk player characters out of alternative/independent ways of living, plants seeds of doubt into player characters, has a "crab bucket" mentality
