Al-Azhar Scholar Calls for an â€œIslamic Deterrence Forceâ€ That Will Extract Jerusalem

Egyptian Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmed Omar Hashem said in a Friday sermon at Al-Azhar that the Muslims must stand as one â€œin order to extract noble Jerusalem from the hands of the worldâ€™s foreign vagabonds. The sermon was aired on Channel 1, (Egypt) on May 14, 2021. Hashem said that â€œwhat was taken by force must be restored by forceâ€ and that an Islamic force of deterrence must emerge in the Arab and Islamic countries. He said that the Zionists have â€œdefiled (Al-Aqsa) and incited against the religionsâ€ with their blasphemy. Hashem continued to pray that Allah will fulfill the prophecy in the hadith, in which the Muslims kill the Jews at the end of times.
