"Фланкировка" шашкой появилась с начала 2000-х годов и начала довольно быстро распространяться в России. Сегодня это довольно популярное зрелище - искусство владения шашкой или саблей в танце. Проводятся соревнования по фланкировке с шашкой или даже двумя шашками, в которых принимают участие казачьи объединения.
Фланкирование - комплекс упражнений, нарабатывающих культуру и навык обращения с холодным оружием. Смотрится очень эффектно! Такие выступления сейчас очень популярны у донских, терских, кубанских, сибирских, дальневосточных казаков.
