James Cleverly facing calls to quit after joking about spiking his wife's drink

Home Secretary James Cleverly has apologised for making a joke about putting a date rape drug in his wife's drink when he told female guests it was "not really illegal if it's only a little bit".

Mr Cleverly's spokesperson said his comment was "clearly meant to be an ironic joke", but women's rights groups say the minister should step down.
