Numerous protests have taken place in London in support of Palestinians, unveiling tensions between the Met Police and the Home Office over how to handle demonstrators.

Footage posted online yesterday showed an individual chanting "jihad, jihad" outside embassies in central London during a smaller scale demonstration.
