God’s promises of blessings to Old Covenant Israel were conditional to Israel’s obedience to God. An unconditional everlasting promise was given to the man Abraham. And this promise was fulfilled in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Galatians 3:16, 28, 29) But to the nation of Old Covenant Israel was no such promise given.
