Embracing the Cross - Christians in the Middle East

Published on Aug 19, 2022
Recent events have highlighted the situation of Eastern Christians forced to flee Iraq and Syria under the threat of the self-proclaimed terrorist group "Islamic State" (Daech in Arabic), which cruelly attacks religious minorities.

With no choice but to leave their country overnight, many Christians flee to Lebanon, where despite a fragile situation, churches welcome and support them in very concrete ways.

This film plunges us into the dramatic reality of Eastern Christians today and the outpouring of generosity in many countries to help them cope. The testimonies of refugees and of those committed to working alongside them strengthen us in faith and lead us to "pray with open eyes."
