Occupation routine: Israeli soldiers once again harass Da’na family at their Hebron home

On Saturday morning, 16 January 2021, seven soldiers entered the Da’na family home in the al-Harika neighborhood of Hebron.
The soldiers brought a marble with them and claimed to be looking for a child who threw it at the settlement.
The Da’na family has been suffering from repeated attacks by settlers and nocturnal raids by soldiers, during which they photographed the family’s children, claiming they had thrown stones. In past raids, soldiers arrested several of the family members.
In a testimony she gave B’Tselem field researcher Manal al-Ja’bari, Mai Da’na (30) described the soldiers’ latest raid into her home:

I saw seven soldiers jumping over the gate in our security cameras that we’d installed about a month ago to prepare for the military’s surprise raids. I immediately grabbed my camera and started filming what was happening through the window. A few seconds later, I saw soldiers at my doorstep. They were all armed and wearing masks. The soldiers asked me how old my kids were, and then my husband Samih arrived and asked them why they came. The soldiers said they wanted to know which children live in the building and how old they were and demanded to go up to the roof of the building. They went up to the roof, and we followed. My two brothers-in-law, ‘Adnan and Nayef, live on the roof. In the staircase, the soldiers encountered Khaldun (14), my brother-in-law’s son, and ordered him to go up to the roof.
I kept filming as a soldier who spoke Arabic asked Khaldun about a marble he had in his hand and claimed that one of the children had thrown it towards the settlement. He tried to accuse Khaldun but saw that his hand was injured and that he couldn’t throw such a thing. A conversation began in Hebrew between Samih and the soldiers, and I later understood from Samih that the soldier threatened that if there will be more stone throwing, they would come back to our house and arrest the children. The soldiers left without arresting anyone, but they terrified my children, especially three-year-old Shok and five-year-old Jasser.


روتين الاحتلال: جنود يقتحمون منزل عائلة دعنا ومعهُم "جُلّة" زعموا أنّ طفلاً ألقاها نحو المستوطنة المجاورة وغادروا وهُم يتوعّدون باعتقال أطفال في المرّة القادمة.

في صباح يوم السّبت الموافق 16.1.21 اقتحم سبعة جنود منزل عائلة دعنا في حيّ الحريقة في الخليل والذي أقيمت في جواره مستوطنة "كريات أربع". دخل الجنود ومعهم "جُلّة" قائلين أنّهم جاءو يبحثون عن الطفل الذي ألقاها نحو المستوطنة.
لقد سبق أن عانت عائلة دعنا مراراً وتكراراً من هجمات المستوطنين وكذلك من اقتحامات الجيش اللّيليّة حيث يقوم الجنود بتصوير أطفال الأسرة بذريعة أنّهم يرشقون الحجارة. وقد حدث غير مرّة في تلك الاقتحامات أن قام الجنود باعتقال أفراد من الأسرة.
أدناه تصف مي دعنا (30 عاماً) اقتحام الجنود الأخير لمنزلها – من إفادة أدلت بها أمام باحثة بتسيلم الميدانيّة منال الجعبري:

قبل نحو الشهر ركّبنا كاميرا مراقبة لكي نستعدّ فلا يباغتنا الجنود في اقتحاماتهم الفجائيّة. حين نظرت إلى شاشة الكاميرا رأيت سبعة جنود يدخلون قفزاً من فوق البوّابة وفوراً حملت الكاميرا خاصّتي وعبر النافذة أخذت بتوثيق ما يحدث. بعد ثوان معدودات رأيت الجنود عند مدخل المنزل وجميعهم كانوا مسلّحين ويضعون الكمامات. سألني الجنود كم عُمر أولادي وخلال ذلك جاء زوجي سميح دعنا وسألهم لأجل ماذا أتوا. قالوا أّنّهم يريدون أن يعرفوا من الأولاد الذين يسكنون في البناية وفي أيّ سنّ هُم ثمّ قالوا أنّهم سوف يصعدون إلى السّطح فصعدوا وصعدنا أنا وسميح خلفهم. في طريقهم إلى السّطح التقى الجنود على الدّرج خلدون ابن سلفي ويبلغ من العمر 14 عاماً فأمروه أن يصعد إلى السّطح. فوق السّطح يقيم سلفاي عدنان ونايف.
كنت أواصل التصوير وأثناء ذلك تحدّث جنديّ بالعربيّة مع خلدون يسأله عن "جُلّة" كانت في يده. زعم الجنديّ أنّ ولداً ألقى "الجُلّة" نحو المستوطنة وأراد أن يتّهم خلدون بذلك. قال له خلدون أنّه لا يقدر أصلاً على ذلك لأنّ يده مُصابة وأرى الجنديّ يده. دار حديث بالعبرية بين سميح والجنديّ وبعد ذلك أخبرني سميح أنّ الجنديّ يهدّد ويتوعّد باقتحام منزلنا ثانية واعتقال أطفال إذا تكرّر رشق الحجارة. غادر الجنود دون أن يعتقلوا أحداً ولكن مجرّد دخولهم إلى المنزل أخاف الأولاد كثيراً وخاصّة الطفلة شوق (3 سنوات) والطفل جاسر (5 سنوات).
