Sunak urges Netanyahu to 'uphold democratic values' as protestors gather in Downing Street

Rishi Sunak told Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to uphold "democratic values" over his controversial judicial overhaul and called for a reduction in tensions in the West Bank, Downing Street has said.

A Number 10 spokesman said the prime minister also expressed his solidarity with Israel in the face of terrorist attacks in recent months but outlined "international concern about growing tensions in the West Bank" and the risk of "undermining efforts towards the two-state solution."
